Scholarships for MSc in Climate Change and Policy at University of Sussex, UK
The University of Sussex would like to invite applications for the MSc in 'Climate Change and Policy' for entry in September 2012. Scholarship information is provided below.
This is a unique course that aims to provide state-of-the-art training for climate change professionals in the rapidly expanding market within the public, private, consultancy and not-for-profit sectors. The programme addresses the climate change issues from a multidisciplinary perspective and courses cover both the science of climate change and social science dimensions of policy responses. Students will acquire specialist knowledge of the causes and consequences of climate change, the economic dimensions and complex issues surrounding mitigation and adaptation policies and practice. Courses are taught by leading researchers in these fields from the world renowned Science and Technology Policy Research Unit (SPRU), the Department of Geography and Institute for Development Studies (IDS).
Scholarships
Up to ten partial scholarships of £3,000 are available. The scholarships will be awarded to students who possess the highest academic ability and potential (not made on the basis of financial need). The deadline for scholarship applications is 1st May 2012.

Training opportunities at Rhodes for marine scientists
If you know of any marine scientists that may be interested in obtaining an ISA grant for a scholarship to attend the The Rhodes Academy of the Center for Ocean Law and Policy (COLP) please direct them to the following website: http://www.virginia.edu/colp/rhodes-academy.html The Rhodes Academy are in the middle of the application process however have so far received very few applications and are trying to reach prospective applicants from developing States.
