PSO SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
NEW GOK IN-SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP TO SINGAPORE IN 2027
National University of Singapore, Lee Quan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS, LQYSPP)
The Public Service Office is pleased to announce that a new GoK In-service Scholarship to Singapore will start in 2027 commencing in August (first Semester for Singapore) and therefore would like to invite interested applicants from eligible employees.
This scholarship is different from the usual and annual GoK in-service scholarship opened every year to study in the region (eg. USP/FNU) such as the one recently being opened since 30th Oct. It is different given that the programs it offers are limited to Master in Public Administration, Master in Public Policy and Master in International Affairs only, those currently offered by the School or University that GoK have partnered with.
In principle, this GoK scholarship application in-service criteria still remains the same, however the process and timelines differ to align to the NUSLQYSPP requirements and timelines.
Timelines for opening and closing of this scholarship application:
1. Fri 6th Nov – Thurs 19th Nov: Application opens
2. Fri 20th Nov: Application close at the PSO. Late applications will not be considered
3. Sat 21/11 – Tue 24/11: HRPC Secretariat screening/shortlisting & scoring of applications
4. Wed 25/11 – Fri 27/11: HRPC Selection of best candidates/nominations for awardees 2027 to NUS for final stage of admission/acceptance.
5. Mon 30/11: NUS Closing Date – PSO HRPC Secretariat submits nominations to NUS and awaits NUS’ assessment outcome for acceptance/admission in 2027.
Application information and guidelines:
1. Interested applicants need to fill out the application form and provide all information required including instructions/requirements for certification and medical examinations.
2. All parts or sections of the application form should be completed for your application to be considered, and this includes supervisor and SRO’s parts.
3. After completion of the application form, it needs to be submitted at the Public Service Office before or by the closing date, Fri 20/11/26. Late applications will not be considered.
4. This application will only be for NUS, LQYSPP scholarship and will not be considered for other GoK in-service usual/annual scholarship to study in the region (USP/FNU). Therefore, applicants who wish to be considered for the annual GoK in-
service application to eg. USP/FNU for 2027, must submit another separate in-service application to be considered.
